Known primarily for their full face helmets, Troy Lee also manufactures half shell mountain bike helmets. The troy Lee A1 helmets are perfect for traversing uneven terrain or mountain trails. The Troy Lee Designs A1 Classic helmet is part of the 2017 release of mountain bike helmets.
The Classic does an excellent job at protecting riders despite being a half shell mountain bike helmet. The polycarbonate shell is reinforced with an EPS foam layer to protect against abrasions and absorb impacts. The A1 is also equipped with the proprietary MIPS safety functionality. The Multi-direction Impact Protection System allows the helmet to protect the rider while the head is in motion. It is great for fending off rotational force and direction impacts. This troy Lee helmet includes sixteen different vents to help keep riders cool. Half of which are designed to take in air, while the other half are designed to expel hot air. The liner inside the Troy Lee helmet is removable and washable. This mountain bike helmet is also equipped with a sun visor to cut down on glare, and it is also adjustable.
